The Marimekko Unikko Guest Towel is a small terry towel carrying the Unikko poppy, sized for a basin, a cloakroom or a guest bathroom. Unikko was drawn by Maija ja Kristina Isola in 1964, at a time when almost no floral designs appeared in Marimekko collections; Maija Isola was fascinated by flowers and went on to create a whole range of new floral prints, and the poppy has stood for creativity ever since.
It is woven in Portugal from 100% organic cotton terry and measures 30 x 50 cm, in Off-White / Blueberry, Off-White / Bronze, Off-White / Linen, Plum / Pink, Off-White / Dark Blue, Pink / Red and Off-White / Sage. Wash before use with like colours at the temperature given, in a full machine and without fabric conditioner; shrinkage is up to 6%.
Hang a pair by the basin and echo the print with a matching hand or bath towel from the Marimekko collection.
