This jacquard knit blanket works the Kukasta kukkaan pattern into the weave itself, so the flowers appear in relief rather than in print. Erja Hirvi painted the joyfully blossoming Kukasta kukkaan print during a burst of creativity at her summer retreat, fully immersed in floral inspiration. The loosely drawn design captures the many ways flowers appear in nature, and its Finnish name translates as from flower to flower, a nod to bumblebees moving between summer blooms.
Made in Portugal from 100% organic cotton, the throw measures 130 x 180 cm. It is available in Ochre / Vanilla. Shrinkage is up to 6%, so reshape it to dry and steam it if needed.
Fold it over the end of a bed or keep it on the sofa for cooler evenings, with more textiles in the Marimekko collection.
