The Marimekko Räsymatto Cotton Bag is a light, flat tote in a cotton and linen blend, easy to fold into another bag so that it is always to hand. Maija Louekari drew Räsymatto, meaning rag rug, in 2009. Inspired by allotment gardening, it speaks of sustainable living and the joy of working with your hands, and of the colourful story a rag rug tells on the floor of an allotment cottage.
The fabric is 48% cotton, 31% cotton and 21% linen, with 46% recycled cotton, 33% organic cotton and 21% recycled linen, and it is Oeko-Tex certified. Fabrics with recycled fibres have a lively surface where small areas of different colour may appear, so pieces vary. The bag measures 44 x 43 cm, comes in Linen / Black and should be washed with like colours. Made in Estonia.
