Slamp
LaFleur: a cordless bloom hand-shaped from Lentiflex
Marc Sadler designed LaFleur for Slamp as a single flower, hand-moulded from Lentiflex at a controlled temperature. The cordless lamp stands on a matt magnetic base in white or black and gives up to 60 hours of dimmed light on one charge. Each bloom is shaped by hand near Rome.

Shaped by hand
Each bloom is heated and moulded by hand, so no two are exactly alike.
Stays put on a tablecloth
A metal disc placed under the textile holds the magnetic base firmly in place.

Shaped by controlled heat
Slamp and Marc Sadler found a way to warm the technopolymer to its softening point and shape it by hand. Slamp patented the method as Technoforming in 2019. It gave rise to LaFleur, Accordéon and Tulip.
Made for the table
The magnetic base comes in matt white or black. A thin metal disc goes under the tablecloth and anchors the lamp, so it stays upright on a laid table, at home or in a restaurant, even when guests move around it.
Battery and light
The 1.3 W LED gives 150 lumens of warm light at 2700 K. It lasts 6 hours at full brightness and up to 60 hours at the lowest setting. Several lamps can charge together on a multi-port station.

Marc Sadler
Born in Austria and a French citizen, Marc Sadler lives in Milan. He studied industrial aesthetics at ENSAD in Paris with a thesis on plastics, and in the early 1970s made the first fully recyclable thermoplastic ski boot. He has won the Compasso d'Oro four times.

How long does the battery last?
About 6 hours at full brightness and up to 60 hours at the lowest setting.
How does the metal disc work?
Lay the disc under the tablecloth where you want the lamp, then set the magnetic base on top.
Can I take it outdoors?
Yes, for an evening on a terrace or in a garden. Bring it back inside afterwards and keep it out of rain and damp.
How do I clean it?
Use a dust-catching cloth or a soft cloth lightly dampened with water, or an anti-static spray. Never use acetone, alcohol, ammonia or abrasive cleaners.
Why does mine look slightly different from the photo?
Each lamp is shaped and assembled by hand near Rome, so small differences between pieces are part of the process, not flaws.
