The Tiiliskivi Kitchen Towel is woven rather than printed, so the brick pattern sits in the structure of the linen. Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko, designed Tiiliskivi in 1952; its name is the Finnish word for brick, and it reflects her belief in the simple beauty of everyday life. A hanging loop sits on the long edge.
The towel is woven in Lithuania from 100% linen, a fibre that dries quickly and softens with use. It measures 47 x 70 cm and comes in Off-White / Chestnut. Wash it before use at the stated temperature and without fabric conditioner; shrinkage is a maximum of 6%.
