The Marimekko Unikko Blanket is woven from a wool and cotton blend with fringes at both ends, and it has two faces: the reverse is a clever colour negative of the front. Pieces woven with the jacquard technique may vary slightly in size. Unikko was born in 1964, at a time when Marimekko collections held almost no floral designs. Maija Isola was fascinated by flowers and drew a whole range of novel floral prints, and the poppy has stood for creativity ever since.
The blanket is made of 60% certified wool and 40% organic cotton, measures 130 x 180 cm and comes in White / Black and Pink. Air it regularly and brush it rather than washing it. Made in Lithuania.
Fold it across the foot of a bed or keep it on the sofa arm, with cushions from the Marimekko collection.
