Functionalism. Simplicity. Arne Jacobsen. The City Hall wall clock from Arne Jacobsen Clocks is design in its purest form – created to tell the time, and nothing more. Arne Jacobsen believed that a clock should perform a simple function without any unnecessary distractions. With this exclusive edition of his classic City Hall wall clock – now in new, modern colours from Arne Jacobsen’s colour palette on both the dial and case – City Hall takes on a completely new yet still minimalist look, true to its origins and Arne Jacobsen’s design vision. The City Hall clock was originally created for Rødovre Town Hall, where it formed part of the master architect’s total concept for the new building in 1956. The design is timeless, classic and utterly simple – yet distinctively recognisable. With its floating presence on the wall, the City Hall wall clock hangs almost like a sculpture in the home, a refined representative of the very best Danish design.
