This bath mat carries the Unikko flower in relief, so the pattern is felt in the pile of the terry rather than printed on it. Unikko was created by Maija Isola in 1964, at a time when floral designs were almost absent from Marimekko collections. Fascinated by flowers, she went on to design a whole range of novel floral prints, and Unikko has symbolised creativity ever since.
Made in Portugal from 100% organic cotton terry, the mat measures 50 x 80 cm. It is available in Off-White and Emerald. Wash in a full machine with like colours, skip the fabric conditioner and allow for shrinkage of up to 6%.
Lay it beside the bath or shower and match it to towels and a morning gown from the Marimekko collection.
