Arne Jacobsen designed the AJ Floor Lamp for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1957, offering a sleek, modern aesthetic. The lamp provides a pleasant downward light with its white-painted inner shade, and the shade can be tilted to adjust the light distribution. Part of the iconic AJ lamp family, which includes a table lamp, smaller table lamp, wall lamp, and table-mounted lamp, the AJ Floor Lamp reflects Jacobsen’s signature style with its clean, geometric shape. The lamps, made in copper and stainless steel, were integral to the hotel’s overall design, aligning with the architectural lines of Jacobsen’s buildings.
