The AJ Floor Lamp is Arne Jacobsen's definitive reading lamp, designed in 1957 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. Its asymmetric, tiltable shade directs glare-free light precisely onto the page, while the slim stem and low-profile foot keep the footprint minimal.
Part of Jacobsen's total design for the hotel, the AJ family echoes the leaning profiles of his Swan and Egg chairs and has been manufactured by Louis Poulsen ever since.
