The VL Studio Lamp distils Vilhelm Lauritzen's total design for Radiohuset — the Danish Broadcasting House he created with Louis Poulsen in the 1940s — into a simple sphere of mouth-blown, three-layered opal glass on a brushed brass or matt black base. Reintroduced in 2022, the glass evens the light into a calm, glare-free glow, while the untreated brass develops a natural patina and grows more personal with age.
Few lamps are as easy to live with: the Ø 150 fits a windowsill, bookshelf or bedside table; the Ø 250 suits a desk or sideboard; the Ø 320 stands on the floor beside a sofa or reading chair.
