Idea Table

The Idea Table lamp captures the pure essence of light in a simple yet eye-catching design — a three-dimensional bulb on a brass-finish screw base that appears to float on a choice of brushed-brass, mirrored or white-matte backing. Also available as a recessed wall version, it delivers an “aha!” moment whenever inspiration strikes.

Idea comes from Slamp, the Rome-based lighting house that has spent three decades turning patented techno-polymers into what it calls “wearable” light — pieces closer to fashion and sculpture than to conventional fixtures. Where many of Slamp's designs are exuberantly baroque, Idea is the label at its most conceptual: the light bulb itself, the universal symbol of a bright idea, rendered as a luminous object and mounted like a specimen on its panel.
