This mini towel carries the Unikko pattern on a soft terry ground, at a size made for hands and faces rather than for drying off. Unikko was created by Maija Isola in 1964, at a time when floral designs were almost absent from Marimekko collections. Fascinated by flowers, she went on to design a whole range of novel floral prints, and Unikko has symbolised creativity ever since.
Made in Portugal from a cotton and linen blend terry of 65% organic cotton and 35% linen, it measures 30 x 30 cm. It is available in Off-White / Linen, Off-White / Dark Blue, Pink / Red, Off-White / Sage and Beige / White. Wash before use, wash in a full machine with like colours, skip the fabric conditioner and allow for shrinkage of up to 6%.
Keep a few by the basin or in the kitchen, and match them with the bath mats and gowns in the Marimekko collection.
