The Marimekko Kivet Cotton Fabric is a cotton printed in Helsinki and sold by the metre. Maija Isola built her 1956 Kivet design from circles cut out with scissors, most likely inspired by the big rough-edged stones cleared by hand from the grounds of her atelier home, and the paper-cut shapes carry the gentle angularity of a landscape, and the Finnish name of the print translates as stones.
Made in Finland from 100% organic cotton, with a pattern repeat of 62 cm, it comes in Tomato Red / Pink and White / Black. Wash with like colours at the temperature given and iron on the reverse side; shrinkage is up to 4%.
Cut it for cushion covers, a blind or a tablecloth, and pair it with tableware from the Marimekko collection.
