This square cushion cover carries the Piccolo stripe printed running in two directions on fabric printed in Helsinki, and it closes with a concealed zipper on one side. In 1953, the year she joined Marimekko, Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo, a striped pattern painted with vivid brushstrokes. Three years later the Jokapoika shirt made from the fabric reached the shops and the streets, where it has stayed ever since.
Made in Estonia from a blend of 48% recycled cotton, 31% organic cotton and 21% linen, it measures 50 x 50 cm. Fabrics containing recycled fibres have a lively colour and surface, so pieces vary a little. It is available in Off-White / Bronze and Black / Cotton. Follow the washing temperature given on the label.
Set the stripe against florals on a bed or bench, mixing in other covers from the Marimekko collection.

Piccolo：1953年的筆刷條紋

Eskolin-Nurmesniemi徒手繪製了Piccolo。條紋相互重疊，因此底布不會透出，重疊處形成第三種顏色。自1953年以來，它一直留在Marimekko的系列中。

條紋繪成三年後，以它裁製的Jokapoika襯衫登上店頭，也走上街頭。如今這款條紋延伸到抱枕上，部分以兩個方向印製，也用於在赫爾辛基印製的棉質托特包。
