The Pieni Kurre Pot Holder is printed in Helsinki with the small-scale version of Aino-Maija Metsola's 2023 squirrel pattern, a lively brood gathering and hiding nuts that she drew with brush and ink after the squirrels of her childhood yard.
It is padded and fitted with a hanging loop, made from unbleached cotton panama in which half the cotton is recycled, over a filling that is half recycled polyester. Unbleached and recycled fibres give a naturally lively surface, so small differences between pieces appear. It measures 22 x 25 cm in Sky Blue / Multicolour. Keep it away from heating elements and open flame.
Hang it by the hob next to the matching oven mitt from the Marimekko collection.

Kurre描繪一群忙著收集、藏匿堅果的松鼠。Metsola以毛筆和墨水在紙上繪製原稿，線條保留了她手部的律動。松鼠彷彿在布面上竄來竄去。

隔熱墊與隔熱手套採用小尺寸版本Pieni Kurre。兩者皆有填充，填充物一半為再生聚酯纖維，並附掛環，可掛在爐邊的掛鉤上。

Aino-Maija Metsola是1983年出生、定居赫爾辛基的插畫家與設計師，畢業於University of Art and Design Helsinki。她自2006年起與Marimekko合作，以水彩、墨水、麥克筆與不透明水彩作畫。Juhannustaika、Jurmo與Sääpäiväkirja系列都出自她手。
