The Marimekko Unikko Flat Ornament 2 pcs is a set of two collectible ornaments, each in a different shape and colour taken from the flowers of the Unikko pattern. Unikko dates from 1964, when Marimekko collections held almost no florals: Maija Isola was drawn to the theme and designed a complete range of new floral prints, and the poppy now stands for creativity.
Both are made in Thailand from whiteware with cranberry, pink and plum coloured glazes. One measures 8 x 9 cm and the other 7 x 8 cm, and the set comes in Cranberry / Pink / Plum in the Marimekko gift box.
Hang them on a tree, on a branch in a vase or from a door handle, and find more seasonal pieces in the Marimekko collection.

Marimekko
1964年的 Unikko，化為蠟、軟木與炻器
設計師Maija Isola1927–2001

打破規則的花朵
Armi Ratia 認為真實的花朵無法以印花呈現，因此 Marimekko 幾乎沒有花卉圖案。1964年，Isola 以一整個系列的花卉作為回應。罌粟花 Unikko 成為品牌創造力的象徵。
澆鑄、裁切與壓製
蠟燭在葡萄牙以石蠟手工澆鑄，因此每一個都略有不同。餐墊以軟木依罌粟花輪廓裁切。浴室漱口杯與皂盤則以浮雕呈現花朵。
金色的 Piirto Unikko
2022年繪製的 Piirto Unikko 將罌粟花簡化為輕盈的圖像線條。在燭臺與收藏擺飾上，它以金色貼花呈現在粉紅色釉面上，以更含蓄的方式將花朵帶進空間。

Isola 於1949年被 Armi Ratia 發掘，在 Printex 與 Marimekko 工作至1987年。這些年間，她繪製了超過500款印花，包括 Kivet、Lokki、Kaivo 與 Unikko。她以畫筆自由揮灑，並將這種創作方式稱為與畫筆共舞。
