The Mini Unikko Cotton Fabric carries a small-scale version of Marimekko's best known floral print, screen printed in Helsinki onto unbleached cotton. The design was drawn by Maija and Kristina Isola in 2009. Unikko, a symbol of creativity, was born at a time when hardly any floral designs featured in Marimekko collections. Maija Isola was fascinated by flowers and went on to design a whole range of novel floral prints.
Woven from 100% cotton and made in Finland, the fabric has a pattern repeat of 62 cm and is sold by the metre. Colourways include Natural White / Pink / Chestnut / Green, Light Blue / White / Pale Rose, White / Red, White / Black and White / Beige / Dark Blue. Wash with like colours at the stated temperature, and allow for shrinkage of up to 4%.
Run it up as curtains, cushion covers or a simple tablecloth. Order alongside the rest of the Marimekko collection.
