Poul Henningsen's three-shade system, designed in 1925-1926 with Louis Poulsen, aimed to create glare-free light with soft shadows. The PH 4/3 Table is part of this system, featuring a 40 cm top shade and 3/3 lower shades. The system, which included various lamps for homes with high ceilings, uses the logarithmic spiral for even light distribution. The PH 4/3 Table was introduced in 1966.
