The Marimekko Kurre Cookie Cutter takes the shape of Kurre, the squirrel that Aino-Maija Metsola designed in 2023, and turns the motif into a single generous cutter, so a whole biscuit carries the pattern rather than a print of it.
It is made in China from stainless steel, measures 15 x 10 cm and is both food safe and dishwasher safe, which keeps it easy to clean after an afternoon of baking. The cutter comes in Stainless Steel, packed in the Marimekko gift box ready to give.
Cut one large biscuit for the centre of a plate, use it for gingerbread through the winter, or press shapes from pastry and marzipan, and see more kitchen pieces in the Marimekko collection.

Bake the prints: Unikko, Ketunmarja and Kurre cutters
DesignerMarimekko design team
These stainless steel cutters lift three Marimekko prints off the cloth and into the dough: Maija Isola's 1964 Unikko poppies, Aino-Maija Metsola's 2018 Ketunmarja and her 2023 Kurre squirrel. Every biscuit carries the outline of the pattern itself.

Shapes from the prints
Each cutter follows a motif drawn by a Marimekko designer.
Food safe steel
Stainless steel that is food safe and dishwasher safe.
Sizes to arrange
The Unikko set holds three poppies, from 6.9 to 14 cm long.
Three motifs to mix
Poppies, berries and a squirrel on one baking tray.

Three prints, three bakes
Unikko, drawn in 1964, gives three poppies in different sizes to lay out like the print. Ketunmarja comes as a pair of cutters. Kurre, the 2023 squirrel, is one generous cutter for a whole biscuit.

Stainless and simple
The cutters are pressed from stainless steel, so they keep a sharp, clean edge. They are food safe and dishwasher safe. The Unikko cutters are 2.5 cm deep, enough for rolled biscuit dough, gingerbread or fondant.

For baking afternoons
Dust the edge with flour before each cut so the dough releases cleanly. Decorate with icing in the colours of the prints, or press shapes from fondant, sandwiches and fruit slices.
