Inspired by a candy wrapper, the Pikku Karla Satin is a small shoulder bag in the Unikko pattern. It has a narrow adjustable strap with a metal buckle, a zip closure and a zip pocket inside. Maija Isola created Unikko in 1964 as an abstraction of a flower rather than a realistic one, and it has become an international icon of print design.
Made in China. Outer fabric 100% recycled polyester satin, lining 100% recycled polyester. Width 26 cm, height 10 cm, depth 12 cm, weight 0.22 kg. Colours: Red / Red and Black / Dark Grey. The colour may bleed.

A candy wrapper bag
Anna Werner designed the Karla bag series for Marimekko, taking the eye-catching shape from a candy wrapper. Pikku Karla is the smaller size, here in recycled polyester satin printed with Unikko, with a narrow strap and metal buckle.
The logo as a pattern
Notko carries the Marimekko logo, a mark in use since 1954 and based on modified Olivetti typewriter letters. Printed in Helsinki on light cotton canvas, it turns the wordmark into an all-over print.
Two ways to carry
Notko's long handles sit comfortably on the shoulder and take files, a scarf or groceries. Pikku Karla, at 26 x 10 x 12 cm, holds a phone, keys and a card holder, with a zip pocket inside.
