Pendant Lamps
Pendant lamps hang where light is needed most (over a dining table, a kitchen island, a stairwell), and they set a room's centre of gravity as much as they light it. The collection is led by Louis Poulsen's Danish classics, with sculptural work from VERPAN and ferm LIVING alongside.
Poul Henningsen's three-shade system underlies the PH 5 Pendant Lamp of 1958 and its smaller sibling the PH 5 Mini Pendant Lamp, the shades layered so the bulb is never visible from below. Elsewhere the Patera Pendant builds a sphere from hundreds of interlocking cells, and Verner Panton's VP Globe Pendant Ø40, first shown in 1969, suspends reflectors inside a clear acrylic ball.
Over a dining table, hang the shade roughly 60–70 cm above the tabletop: low enough to light the surface, high enough to keep sightlines across the table clear.
