The Marimekko Oiva Mug carries the Piccolo pattern on white stoneware, a generous 4 dl size for morning coffee or a long afternoon tea. The Oiva tableware series is designed by Sami Ruotsalainen. Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo in 1953, the year she joined Marimekko, painting the stripes with vivid brushstrokes. Three years later the Jokapoika shirt made from the fabric reached the shops and the streets, and it has stayed there ever since.
Made of 100% whiteware, the mug is dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer proof, and it is food safe. It comes in White / Black and holds 4 dl. Please remove the sticker from the base before use, as it contains a small amount of metal. Made in Thailand.
