Storage that looks good
Baskets and pockets keep things off the floor in a warm material.
Strong, light rattan
Durable natural fibre, from 0.7 to 2 kg per piece.
Wall pockets save space
Hang them in a hallway or kids' room for scarves or toys.
Shades with soft light
Belly and Disc let light through the braid.
One material, many uses
Every Braided piece is hand-braided from natural rattan. Because it is handmade, small variations occur, so no two baskets are exactly alike. The same texture runs from the bathroom to the living room.
Baskets and laundry
Basket Low is Ø60 x 32 cm and holds up to 10 kg, for blankets by the sofa or laundry in the bathroom. The Laundry Basket comes extra tall at Ø42 x 80 cm and in Medium at Ø49 x 60 cm, for washing, cushions or throws.
Pockets and shades
The Wall Pockets set of 2 holds up to 5 kg each, and the canoe-shaped 75 cm Wall Pockets have built-in loops for hanging. The Belly shade, Ø54 cm, and the flatter Disc, Ø49.5 cm, give natural light over a table or in a corner.
Materials
- Natural rattan
- Hand-braided, with natural colour variation; wipe with a damp cloth.
- Iron structure
- Inside the shades and the 75 cm wall pockets for a steady shape.
- Hand braiding
- Gives each piece its own texture; small variations in shape may occur.
Ferm Living was founded in Copenhagen in 2006 by graphic designer Trine Andersen, who began by designing her own wallpaper when she could not find what she wanted for her home. The Braided series was developed by the brand's in-house design studio in Copenhagen as everyday storage and lighting in natural rattan.
Using it at home
How do I clean rattan?

What sizes are there?
The tall basket is Ø42 x H80 cm and the medium basket Ø49 x H60 cm.
Can I use it for other things?
Yes, it works as open storage for blankets, cushions or household essentials.
What is it made of?
Hand-braided natural rattan.
