DesignerFerm Living design studio

A handle with character
The spiral handle is decorative and comfortable to hold.
Colour or steel
Poppy Red, Dark Blue, Verdant Green, Cashmere or Stainless Steel.
A creek in metal
Cala means creek in Spanish. The baskets are woven from a fine iron mesh and finished with a metal spiral handle on each end, a small decorative detail that gives a firm grip when lifting.
Deep baskets that stack
The Stackable Baskets measure 36.2 x 26.2 cm and 20.2 cm high, and come as a set of two. Stack up to three on top of each other for office supplies, toiletries or everyday essentials in a living room.
Open at the front
The Open Stackable Baskets are a compact 28.7 x 18 cm and 13 cm high. A front opening lets you reach stored items without lifting off the basket above, which makes them good for fruit, vegetables or toiletries.
Materials
- Powder-coated iron
- Durable mesh; wipe with a dry cloth for the deep baskets.
- Brushed stainless steel
- The steel version of the open basket; wipe with a damp cloth.
- Spiral metal handle
- Adds a decorative line and a comfortable grip.
Ferm Living was founded in Copenhagen in 2006 by graphic designer Trine Andersen, and its collections are developed by the brand's in-house design studio there. Cala combines a plain mesh basket with a playful spiral handle, so storage can stay out on show.
