The Ferm Living Norte Grid Cushion Rectangular is hand tufted from wool on a structured cotton base, its geometric grid pattern giving the piece an almost architectural quality. The elongated format makes it a natural addition to the sofa.

Norte is Ferm Living's family of rugs and cushions in undyed natural wool, inspired by windswept, rugged Northern landscapes. The Norte Rug pairs a flat-woven base with hand-tufted deep-pile accents in an abstract shape, while the Norte Grid pieces set a raised grid on a soft tufted surface.

Norte takes its cue from windswept, rugged northern nature. The Norte Rug has an abstract, organic outline, with a flat-woven base and hand-tufted, deep-pile accents that rise from it, giving a tousled, romantic texture.
A grid in deep pile
The Norte Grid Rug, 160 x 235 cm, is hand-tufted in 90% undyed wool with a structured grid worked in a deeper, longer pile. The natural melange of the fibres gives the geometry an almost architectural feel, best in a living room where it can unfold.
Grid cushions for the sofa
The Norte Grid Cushion comes 50 x 50 cm or 60 x 40 cm, hand-tufted in 80% New Zealand wool on a structured cotton base with a feather and down filling. Layer them on a sofa or bed alongside the rugs for one calm, textured palette.

Ferm Living was founded in Copenhagen in 2006 by graphic designer Trine Andersen, who started out because she was missing wallpaper designs for her new house. Norte was developed by the Ferm Living design studio in Copenhagen, which works mainly with New Zealand wool for its rugs. The family also includes round, larger and outdoor Norte rugs.
