The Ferm Living Oyster Table Lamp is cast in recycled aluminium, its soft, lively curves recalling oyster shells gathered at the beach. The casting process leaves a deliberately rough surface, and the contrast between that raw texture and the organic silhouette gives the lamp its sculptural character.
It is made from 100% recycled cast painted aluminium in Light Cashmere and measures 25 x 24 x 17.3 cm, with an E14 socket and a 2.6 metre black cable. A dimmable 4 watt opal LED bulb is included. The lamp runs on 220 to 240V, 50Hz and is approved for the EU, Norway, Switzerland and the UK only, with a separate version for the US. Wipe with a damp cloth. The design is registered.
For a soft pool of light, set it on a sideboard or bedside table beside ceramics from the Ferm Living collection.

Oyster: lamps cast in recycled aluminium like shells
DesignerFerm Living design studio
Oyster is Ferm Living's lighting family cast in 100% recycled aluminium. Its soft, lively curves recall oyster shells gathered at the beach, and the casting leaves a rough, distinctive surface that contrasts with the organic shape. It includes a table lamp, a wall lamp and a wall sconce.

Shaped like a shell
Curved, overlapping planes recall an oyster shell from the beach.
Raw cast texture
The casting leaves a rough surface that light and shadow pick out.
Made from recycled metal
Every Oyster lamp is cast from 100% recycled aluminium.
Indoors and outdoors
The sconce can be hardwired outside, rated IP65.
Shells from the shoreline
Oyster takes its form from shells gathered on a beach. The curves are soft and lively, while the casting gives a rough, slightly irregular skin, and that contrast between organic shape and raw surface is what makes each lamp feel sculptural.
Table and wall lamp
The table lamp, 25 cm wide, uses a dimmable 4 W E14 LED opal bulb that is included and gives a soft, cosy light. The 60 cm wall lamp has an integrated dimmable LED strip that throws light and shadow across its cast surface to show off the texture.
A sconce for any wall
The Oyster Wall Sconce has overlapping curved planes that diffuse an E27 bulb. Plug it in indoors with the 2.6 metre fabric cable and switch, or hardwire it outside, where it is IP65 rated for a porch or terrace.
