Fun Table Lamp 2TM

The Fun collection is one of Verner Panton's greatest lighting masterpieces, sparking joy and countless stories since 1964. The Fun 2TM Brass is a small table lamp with a two-ring brass-finish frame and cascading seashell discs.

Verner Panton (1926–1998) was Danish design's great nonconformist — an architect by training who left Arne Jacobsen's studio to pursue colour, new materials and sensory experience at a time when his countrymen favoured restraint. The Fun series of 1964 is built from hand-cut mother-of-pearl discs hung in overlapping rows, a material choice that gives the lamp its signature double character: lustrous and softly glowing when lit, gently chiming when the shells move against one another. In this brass-finish version, the warm metal frame deepens the golden tones of the nacre, giving the lamp a richer, more intimate expression than its chrome sibling. The series is produced today by VERPAN, the Danish company founded to manufacture Panton's lighting designs true to his originals.

As a small table lamp, the Fun 2TM Brass earns a place where its details can be appreciated up close — a sideboard, a bedside table, a windowsill or a low bookshelf.
