Grand Cru Nouveau is Rosendahl's evolution of the Grand Cru carafe and glasses. The shape and steel band stay almost the same, but the glass is now mouth-blown, in smoke, walnut or clear, and covered in repeating grooves that refract the light and give a firmer grip.

Mouth-blown character
Each carafe and glass is mouth-blown, so every piece has small unique variations.

A classic renewed
Part of Rosendahl's approach is to renew its classics so they keep up with the times. Nouveau keeps the outline of the Grand Cru carafe and its steel neck band, now patinated, and multiplies the familiar grooves into a fine, repeating pattern across the surface.
Carafe and glasses
The 1 litre water carafe comes in smoke, walnut or clear mouth-blown glass and takes an 8.5 cm patinated steel lid. Tumblers hold 26 and 36 cl, the 18 cl wine glass is the water glass reduced slightly and set on a stem, and a 20 cl Champagne glass joins it.
Grooves across the table
The Nouveau grinder puts the mechanism at the top, so it leaves no residue on the table. The 16-piece cutlery set in 100% recycled 18/8 steel carries a polished groove relief that is strongest at the base and fades towards the top.

- Patinated steel
- A patinated steel band on the carafe neck and a matching lid replace the plain steel of classic Grand Cru.
- Recycled 18/8 steel
- The cutlery set is polished recycled steel and dishwasher safe; the grinder should only be wiped with a damp cloth.
Rosendahl was founded in 1984 by Erik Rosendahl, who wanted quality design to be within reach of many people. Its Grand Cru range began with a wine stopper and is recognised by its grooves, which Nouveau carries into mouth-blown glass and recycled steel.
Using it at home
Is Grand Cru Nouveau dishwasher safe?
The carafe and glasses can go in the dishwasher at a maximum of 55°C. The cutlery is dishwasher safe; wipe the grinder with a damp cloth.
Why does each glass look slightly different?
The glasses are mouth-blown, so small variations from piece to piece are part of the craft.
Which lid fits the carafe?
The 8.5 cm Grand Cru Nouveau lid in patinated steel is made for the Nouveau water carafe.
What is in the cutlery set?
Four each of knife, fork, spoon and teaspoon, 16 pieces in all, in 100% recycled 18/8 steel.
Does Nouveau combine with classic Grand Cru?
