The Marimekko Cushion Insert is the fluffy pad that fills out a favourite cushion cover, made in the square 50 x 50 cm size that most of the covers in the collection use.
It is filled with recycled polyester and covered with fabric made of organic cotton, with a casing of 100% cotton and 100% polyester padding. The insert measures 50 x 50 cm and comes in White. Wash with plenty of water and use a third of the normal amount of liquid detergent. Made in Turkey.
Keep a few on hand so printed covers from the Marimekko collection can be swapped whenever the mood changes.

These plain white inserts give a printed Marimekko cover its shape. The 50 x 50 cm square fits most of the house's cushion covers, and the 40 x 60 cm rectangle fits the long covers. Both are cotton outside with polyester filling, and both can be washed.

The piece you never see
An insert decides how a cushion looks on a sofa or bed. These are built simply, a cotton casing filled with polyester, so the printed cover keeps a full, even shape. They come plain white so no colour shows through a light cover.
Two shapes
The 50 x 50 cm square suits covers in Unikko, Tiiliskivi, Räsymatto and Piirto Ketunmarja. The 40 x 60 cm rectangle suits long covers such as Tiiliskivi and Piirto Unikko, for a reading chair or bed.
Washing an insert
Wash with plenty of water and a third of the normal amount of liquid detergent. Shake the insert into shape and turn it while it dries so the filling spreads evenly and keeps its loft.
