The small Unikko Plate takes the silhouette of the poppy, a shape drawn from the pattern Maija Isola created in 1964. At the time Marimekko's collections were built on abstract prints, and her range of florals gave the house the flower that now represents its creativity.
It is made in Thailand from 100% white stoneware, glazed in a soft, even tone and food safe. The plate measures 9 cm across, comes in Beige, White and Sand, and is packed in a Marimekko logo-pattern box. Hand washing is recommended.
Use it for rings and earrings, a teabag, or a single chocolate, and collect the colours alongside the larger plate from the Marimekko collection.
