The PH 2/1 Portable Lamp packs a century of lighting science into a cordless format. Its mouth-blown, three-layered white opal glass shades follow the three-shade system Poul Henningsen created in 1925–26 — the geometry that won gold at the 1925 Paris Exposition — so the bulb is never visible, only soft, layered light. Louis Poulsen pairs the smallest 2/1 shade set with a built-in dim-to-warm LED and a chrome-plated or brass metallised stem.
