The PH Artichoke is Poul Henningsen's 1958 masterpiece for Louis Poulsen, created for Copenhagen's Langelinie Pavilion, where the original fixtures still hang. Its 72 precisely angled leaves, arranged in 12 rows, hide the bulb from every angle and bounce light from leaf to leaf, so this sculptural pendant lamp radiates entirely glare-free light. Every Artichoke is still assembled by hand in Denmark, signed and numbered.
