Rosendahl Birds: recycled feeding stations for winter birds
DesignerSigne Wenneberg
Rosendahl Birds was designed by Signe Wenneberg to bring birdsong into the garden with a good green conscience. The feeding stations are made in Denmark from plastic collected from Danish households, in a natural colour scale that blends into gardens and balconies.

Fill from the top
Seeds poured in at the top run down through several feeding plateaus.
Rainwater drains away
A built-in hole in the bottom lets rain run off so the seed stays drier.
Tough in winter
Break resistant and frost proof, made for the cold months when birds need feeding most.
Circular by design
Recycled household plastic gets a second life in the garden.

Welcome the winter birds
Rosendahl Birds is about life and birdsong in the garden through the cold season. Signe Wenneberg designed the series alongside her recycled flowerpots, with the same aim of reducing the footprint products leave behind.

Several plateaus of seed
Both feeding stations offer food on several levels. You fill them from the top, the seeds trickle down through the bowls, and a drain hole at the bottom lets rainwater out between visits.

On a pole or hanging
The 107 cm version stands on a stainless steel pole in a lawn or bed. The 17.5 cm version hangs from a branch, a hook or a balcony railing, so even a small outdoor space can host a feeding spot.
Materials
- Recycled CoPP and PP
- Plastic collected from Danish households, processed and moulded in Denmark.
- Stainless steel
- The pole of the standing station resists rust in wet weather.
- Easy cleaning
- The feeders are dishwasher safe, which makes regular cleaning between fillings simple.
Signe Wenneberg graduated from the University of Copenhagen, has written several garden books and made green television for TV 2 and DR. She has chaired the Danish Ecolabelling Board and been an ambassador for FSC Denmark, and designed Rosendahl's recycled flowerpots and Rosendahl Birds.
Using it at home

Yes, it is break resistant and frost proof.
Does rain collect in the bowls?
A built-in hole in the bottom drains off rainwater.
How do I clean it?
Empty old seed and wash the feeder, by hand or in the dishwasher, before refilling.
Where should I place it?
Set the pole version in a lawn or bed and hang the 17.5 cm version from a branch or balcony, ideally within sight of a window.
