Tomoshi — Japanese for “light” — is Oki Sato of nendo's portable lamp for Louis Poulsen, a meeting of two design cultures that share a deep respect for restraint. The silhouette recalls a small hand-carried lantern, rooted in both Japanese paper lanterns and Nordic candlelight, executed in a recycled polymer body with a genuine leather strap and a soft polymer diffuser that spreads glare-free light over the surface below.
