The Marimekko Oiva / Unikko Deep Plate is the deep plate in the Oiva range, designed by Sami Ruotsalainen, and it takes soup and pasta as easily as a salad. The Unikko poppy was born in 1964, when Marimekko collections held mostly abstract prints, and Maija Isola answered with a whole range of florals.
It is made in Thailand from white stoneware, measures 20.5 cm across and is dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer safe. The plate comes in White / Plum / Cranberry / Pink, White / Beige / Light Sand / Dark Green, White / Black and White / Red / Blue. Remove the sticker from the base before use, as it contains a small amount of metal.
Stack it on the 25 cm plate for a laid table, and see the rest of the Oiva range in the Marimekko collection.
