The PH 3½-2½ Metal Table Lamp, designed in 1928, brings Poul Henningsen's three-shade science to the desktop with period details collectors look for: his original shade-holder, the small adjustment screws, and a stabilising rolled edge on the spun-aluminium top shade — offered in white, red, yellow or green with mouth-blown glass lower shades and a silk-matt brown brass frame that nods to early burnished fittings. Every curve sits on the logarithmic spiral, so the bulb never meets the eye.
On a desk, sideboard or hallway console it throws light exactly where it is useful — downward onto the surface — while the metal top shade keeps the glow soft and contained, an intimate pool that pairs beautifully with dark wood and bronze hardware.
