The Marimekko Räsymatto Acrylic Coated Cotton Fabric is a cotton fabric with a protective acrylic finish, printed in Helsinki and sold by the metre. Maija Louekari's Räsymatto, Finnish for rag rug, came out of allotment gardening and the pleasure of working with your hands, where a rag rug on a cottage floor tells a colourful story of its own.
The base cloth is 100% cotton and the coating means a damp cloth is enough to wipe the surface clean, which suits tablecloths, placemats and bags. It comes in White, Light Blue and Orange, the pattern repeat is 62 cm, and the fabric is made in Finland. Iron on the reverse side and wash with plenty of water.
