This Marimekko cotton linen carries the Räsymatto pattern, printed in Helsinki and sold by the metre. Maija Louekari drew Räsymatto, meaning rag rug, in 2009. Inspired by allotment gardening, it speaks of sustainable living and the joy of working with your hands, and of the colourful story a rag rug tells on the floor of an allotment cottage.
The cloth contains 48% cotton, 31% cotton and 21% linen, of which 48% of the cotton is recycled and 21% organic, and it has a 62 cm pattern repeat. It comes in Linen / Black. Wash with like colours, follow the washing temperature given and allow for shrinkage of up to 6%. Made in Finland.
Its linen content gives a dry, natural handle for curtains and cushion covers, next to the aprons and towels in the Marimekko collection.
