Wilhelm Wagenfeld
Wilhelm Wagenfeld (1900–1990) was a German industrial designer closely tied to the Bauhaus ethos of “form follows function.” Renowned for the iconic WG 24 “Bauhaus Lamp,” he championed simple, functional objects accessible to all. From glassware for Jenaer Glas to metal pieces for everyday use, Wagenfeld sought to merge craft precision with industrial production. His belief that good design should be affordable yet elegant earned him a lasting place in design history. Many of his creations, like the WG 24 lamp still produced by Tecnolumen, remain classics of modern design.
