The elegant Pantop line, designed by Verner Panton in 1980, has long been a staple of the Verpan collection — defined by a bell-like, widely flaring shade mounted aperture-down. The Pantop Ø23 Table Lamp is available in Cream White, Vivid Orange, Cherry Red, Pitch Brown, Night Blue, Dark Teal, Light Teal and Chrome.

Verner Panton (1926–1998) created the Pantop in 1980 as a family of lamps united by one archetypal form. It was a characteristically clear statement from a designer who had spent decades proving that Danish design could be playful and radical — from his training at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and early years in Arne Jacobsen's studio to the Panton Chair and the legendary Visiona installations. In the Pantop, everything is reduced to a wide, bell-shaped shade balanced on a slender stem, with colour doing the expressive work; Panton famously treated colour as a functional element of design, as important as form or material. Today the lamp is made by VERPAN, the Danish company founded in 2003 to produce Panton's designs true to his original drawings.
