AD 32 Art Déco Table Lamp

Created in 1930 for TECNOLUMEN's Art Déco line, the AD 32 table lamp features an opal-glass globe resting on a chrome-plated bowl supported by three decorative balls, which also secure the sphere. The interplay of chrome, brass and glass complements the spherical form. Each lamp is numbered and stamped with the TECNOLUMEN signet.

TECNOLUMEN, the Bremen manufacturer founded by Walter Schnepel in 1980, earned its reputation with the authorised re-edition of Wilhelm Wagenfeld's Bauhaus table lamp WG 24, and it brings the same archival discipline to its Art Déco collection. The AD 32 distils the visual language of 1930 into a single composition: a luminous sphere, the gleam of chrome and brass, and the playful detail of three small balls doing genuine structural work. Sequential numbering and the maker's signet confirm each lamp as a faithful continuation of the period design rather than a loose homage.

In the home, the AD 32 behaves like a small piece of lighting sculpture. Its opal globe glows evenly in every direction, so it flatters a sideboard, a hallway console or a bedside table where harsh, directional light would feel unwelcome.
