The Toldbod 155 Bollard, launched in 2006, applies the lesson of Poul Henningsen's PH Ellipse reflector to the garden path: the light source sits concealed inside a deep shade with a matt white-painted interior, throwing 100% of its light downward in a soft, controlled pool — you see illuminated ground, never a glaring bulb. The name honours Toldboden, the old customs quay on Copenhagen's harbourfront where Louis Poulsen was long headquartered.
