Fun Pendant 10DM Brass

The Fun 10DM Brass is a large pendant with a four-ring brass-finish frame, part of Verner Panton's iconic Fun collection, captivating since 1964. Its cascading seashell discs create a warm, shimmering glow.

By the time Verner Panton (1926–1998) drew the Fun series in 1964, he had already left Denmark — and Danish design convention — far behind. A former assistant to Arne Jacobsen, he built his reputation on saturated colour, synthetic materials and room-sized installations, which makes Fun's material all the more striking: discs of natural mother-of-pearl, cut by hand and suspended in overlapping tiers from slender metal rings. Each shell catches the light differently, so every lamp carries its own pattern of iridescence, and the discs respond to the gentlest movement of air with a soft, chime-like rustle — a lamp you hear as well as see. In this edition the brass-finish frame deepens the warm, golden notes already present in the shell, giving the lamp a more honeyed character than its chrome counterpart. The Fun 10DM Brass belongs above places where people gather: a dining table, a kitchen island, a generous lounge corner.
